Munich entrepreneur and honorary consul of Ireland, Dr Erich Lejeune, was awarded an honorary doctorate on 29 March 2013 by the renowned University of Da Nang (90,000 students) in Da Nang (Vietnam).
By doing so, the University of Da Nang acknowledged his personal commitment to the “Heart for Heart – Foundation for Life!”, which he and his wife Irène founded in 2003 and has so far saved the lives of 2,500 patients, both big and small. In this respect, the human and scientific exchange between the University of Da Nang and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, which offers valuable continued training opportunities to scientists, students and doctors, is very close to his heart.
