Two-year-old Abdourahman arrived in Munich from Gambia with his father on 17 October 2019. Prof. Jürgen Hörer performed open-heart surgery at the German Heart Centre on 22 October. The costs for the operation were covered by the “Heart for Heart – Foundation for Life!”. The operation was facilitated by Mrs Gabi Canavan from Munich, who has worked tirelessly for many years on a voluntary basis in various areas, including in Africa. He returned home in good health on 10 November.
