Presentation of “Heart for Heart Awards”

Dr Ursula Bares-Rauen was presented with the “Heart for Heart Award” on 29 November 2014 at a benefit ballet gala.

The award is endowed with prize money to the sum of € 10,000.00, which is intended to benefit the Foundation.

Prof. Heinrich Netz was awarded honorary professorship by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMP) of Ho Chi Minh City on 22 March 2011.

Diners Club Magazine Award

Prof. Heinrich Netz was awarded honorary professorship by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMP) of Ho Chi Minh City on 22 March 2011.

“Sympathicus” award

The Olympia Einkaufszentrum shopping centre in Munich presented the “Sympathicus” award to Dr Irène Lejeune in May 2008 for her humanitarian efforts. Federal Family Minister at the time, Ursula von der Leyen, was also awarded the “Honorary Sympathicus” on this occasion.

Recognition from the city of Da Nang, Vietnam

On behalf of “Heart for Heart - Foundation for Life!”, Dr Irène Lejeune was ceremoniously presented with the city’s honorary award by the Mayor of the city of Da Nang in March 2007 as a token of recognition and appreciation.

Award of the Prix International “Pour les Enfants” of the Ordre de Saint Fortunat and the Otto Eckart Foundation

In October 2006, the Prix International “Pour les Enfants” was awarded to Dr Irène Lejeune in Vienna in recognition of her humanitarian efforts for Vietnamese children with heart disease.

The award was endowed with 10,000.00, used directly in aid of the Foundation.
